Philidor Chess club is a lively chess club with a fast-growing membership and we provide opportunities for chess players of all abilities. We meet at Monday evenings at 7.45 pm. Our venue is Denksportcentrum Leiden, Robijnstraat 4.
We host a variety of tournaments and events throughout the year. We also take part in the regional competition on weekdays and the national competition on Saturdays.
We’re keen to attract new players of all kinds: experienced players who are looking for serious competitive chess, casual players who want to play friendly social chess, and newcomers to the game who want to develop their chess skills.
Prospective members are always welcome to attend and if you want to play a friendly game there is usually no shortage of like-minded opponents. Please contact out secretary for more information.
